�This sculpture is called "Ascension" and is carved from maple burl, one of my favorite woods. I created my first angel after my mother died, and since then they have become a favorite subject of mine.

�This is "Cupid & Psyche", and portrays the ancient Greek myth of forbidden love. Cupid is sweeping Psyche up from the earth to bring her to his home in the heavens. This is redwood and stands 6' tall.

�This is the "Birth of Aphrodite", also carved from maple burl. According to ancient Greek myth, Aphrodite was born from the waves of the sea. I love the organic quality of the burl at the bottom, almost looks like coral or foam.

�I call this sculpture "Poseidon", the god of the sea. He is carved from redwood and is life size. Some of my favorite pieces of wood have these organic holes in them, a reminder that mother nature is the ultimate creator.
